Halloween Chex Mix Nummies
This halloween chex mix nummies (my given name obvi) is super scrumptious. If you have a sweet tooth then get ready. I am personally more of a salty carb lover. So there is a little bit for everyone in this nummy mix. So without further ado…
Ingredients:
For The Mix:
- 1 box Rice Chex (12oz)
- 1 bag Bugles (7oz)
- 4 cups Mini Pretzels
- 1 rounded cup Candy Corn
- 1 rounded cup Candy Corn Pumpkins
- 1 bag Reese’s Pieces (8oz)
For The Sauce:
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3/4 packed brown suger
- 2 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 275 degrees
- Melt the butter and add the brown sugar and vanilla extract. Whisk until combined. (OMG look at my pathetic whisk)
- In a super huge bowl mix the chex cereal, pretzels & bugels
- Pour the sauce over the cereal mix and toss until evenly coated
- Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper
- Spread the combined mixture evenly between the 2 baking sheets
- Bake for 45 minutes, stirring the mixture every 15 minutes
- Remove from the oven and allow to completely cool
- Toss in and combine the candy pieces
- Serve and store remaining mix in an airtight container
Now let me warn you that this makes sooooo much shenanigans. (Is it obvious yet that I love the word shenanigans?) Like A LOT of snacks. So be prepared for leftovers. And as long as you store them in an airtight container then it should last you for a week.
Boom boom boom sweet and salty shenanigans!
Until next time…
Huggles & A Trio Of Kisses,
Jaime
